VJOKE

Mick the Farmer up in the Mallee in Country Victoria recently spent $8,500 on a young registered Black Angus Bull. He put him out with the herd but he just ate grass and wouldn’t even look at a cow. He was beginning to think he had paid more for that bull than what he was worth. Anyhow, he had the Vet come and have a look at him. He said the bull was very healthy, but possibly just a little young so he gave Mick some pills to feed him once everyday.  The bull started to service the cows within two days, all the cows! He even broke through the fence and bred with all of the neighbor’s cows! He was like a machine!
Mick didn’t know what was in the pills the Vet gave him, but they kind of taste like peppermint and were light blue in colour…….

Doncaster Mile Day is one of the classic days on the Racing Calendar and is the renowned as the best mile race we have in Australia. The first running of the race was way back in 1866 and the 1892 running of the race had 30 starters. It has always traditionally been run on Easter Monday but in recent times it has changed to now be on the first day of the Randwick Championships. In my time Super Impose has been the best winner I have seen of the Doncaster Mile, when he won in 1990 and 1991.
