Randall had been in the Textiles business for over 25 years. Finally sick of the stress, he quits and buys 50 acres of land in Alaska as far from humanity as possible. He sees the postman once a week and gets groceries once a month, otherwise it’s total peace and quiet. After six months or so of almost total isolation there comes a knock on his door, he opens it and a huge, bearded man is standing there. “Name’s Tony, your neighbor from forty miles up the road, you can call me TD. Having a Christmas party Friday night”. “Thought you might like to come at about 5pm. “Great”, says Randall,” after six months out here I’m ready to meet some local folks. “Thank you.” As TD is leaving, he stops “Gotta warn you. Be some drinkin!” “Not a problem” says Randall. “After 25 years in business, I can drink with the best of ’em. “Again, the big man starts to leave and stops. “More ‘n’ likely gonna be some fightin’ too.” “Well, I get along with most people, I’ll be alright and if not, I can handle myself pretty well …..I’ll be there”. Thanks again.” “More’n likely be some wild sex, too.” “Now that’s really not a problem” says Randall, warming to the idea. “I’ve been all alone for six months! I’ll definitely be there. By the way, what should I wear?” “Don’t much matter……..Just gonna be the two of us!”

VH2H – Head to Head Betting

VICBET H2H Betting is available every race in two groups of three. It is the three Favs (1st, 2nd and 3rd) combined in one H2H outcome and the second H2H is the 4th, 5th and 6th Favs combined, excluding the Fav if it is Odds-on (under $2). This is a moving dynamic market so as the odds change for the actual race the odds will change for the H2H outcome. Also, you can pick your own H2H outcome, then simply text Tim Cleary (0433-339347) and he will put online for you, this can be in a group of two or three……This a novelty bet type so it is for the small players……

All the upcoming races are Online Now, early Pre-Post Odds for Saturday’s Metro Races will be available today……..There is Group Racing at Moonee Valley and Randwick this upcoming Saturday with both having Group Races. Also on Friday there is the $160k Wyong Gold Cup…..

VKEEPING

Ok this is the Punter’s Club Info and a few people have it happening now. It is a great idea and easily organised, the account will need to be set-up by the Main Person in their name and their ID supplied within 14 days, then the account rolls along as a Punters Club. For example we could have Joe Black as the Main Person and we can call it Joe Black (Emerald Hotel Punters Club)…….One group from a NSW Country Pub have 20 blokes in, they all put in $40 a week so the deposit is $800 a week. They bet $400 and basically bank $400 so at the chosen time period and then hopefully there is a nice nest egg there for them. These blokes have a trip planned thanks partly to the Punter’s Club to the Birdsville Races that is on this upcoming Friday and Saturday……

It is that time of year coming into the Spring with all the stars resuming, there are 30 Feature Races available now, we will match what price any of our Competitor’s are betting (except Bet365)……If there are any Feature Races not online that you are interested in let us know and we will get them online for you, they can be Australia or Overseas….This week the VSpecial is in the The Everest. Santa Ana Lane is looking like the horse to beat at the $5 mark. This week anyone can simply reply (by Sunday PM) to the VNEWS and you can have $8 up to a stake of $500…

The John F Feehan Stakes is run over 1,600m and was first run in 1948 when it was won by Phoibos. The John F Feehan Stakes has always been run over the mile and the only time it was not run at Moonee Valley was in 1995 when it was run at Caulfield. The first owner of the land where Moonee Valley is situated today was John F Feehan. That land was bought by a man called William Samuel Cox for whom the great WFA race – W.S. Cox Plate is now known. The race was renamed after Dato Tan Chin Nam (2005-2018) who is best known as a leading owner of horses such as So You Think and Saintly who both won Cox Plates with Bart Cummings as well as the dual Melbourne Cup triumphs with Think Big. This year in 2019 it reverts to being known again as the John F Feehan Stakes. The winner of the race is exempt from ballot for the Cox Plate and the John F Feehan Stakes is worth $250k this year. The race has often been an excellent guide to the Cox Plate run six weeks later. The winners of the John F Feehan Stakes and even those beaten run well in the Cox Plate. The last horse to do the double was El Segundo in 2007. Slightly digressing for a moment but from 1992 to today when I have been Bookmaking the El Segundo victory in the 2007 Cox Plate was my single worst ever result and my worst day ever as a Bookmaker. Well over six figures was lost by me when El Segundo saluted in the Cox Plate and I lost on all ten out of ten races that Cox Plate Day twelve years ago.
