VJOKE

A successful station owner died and left everything to his devoted wife Louise. She was a very good-looking woman and determined to keep the cattle station, but knew very little about running it. She decided to place an ad in the newspaper for a station hand. Two jackaroos applied for the job. One was Gay and the other a Drunk. She thought long and hard about it, and when no one else applied she decided to hire the gay guy, figuring it would be safer to have him around the house than the drunk. The gay guy proved to be a hard worker who put in long hours every day and knew a lot about raising cattle. For weeks, the two of them worked, and the station was doing very well. Then one day, the widow said to the hired hand, “You have done a really good job, and the property looks great. You should go into town and kick up your heels.” The hired hand readily agreed and went into town one Saturday night. One o’clock came, however, and he didn’t return. Two o’clock and no hired hand. Finally he returned around two-thirty, and upon entering the room, he found the rancher’s widow sitting by the fireplace with a glass of wine, waiting for him. She quietly called him over to her. “Unbutton my blouse and take it off,” she said. Trembling, he did as she directed. “Now take off my boots.” He did as she asked, ever so slowly.  “Now take off my socks.” He removed each gently and placed them neatly by her boots.  “Now take off my skirt.” He slowly unbuttoned it, constantly watching her eyes in the fire light. “Now take off my bra..” Again, with trembling hands, he did as he was told and dropped it to the floor. Then she looked at him and said, “If you ever wear my clothes into Town again, you’re fired.”

VH2H – Head to Head Betting

VICBET H2H Betting is unique to us and is available every race day and night in two groups of three. It is the three Favourites (1st, 2nd and 3rd) combined in one H2H outcome and the second H2H is the 4th, 5th and 6th Favourites combined, excluding the Fav if it is Odds-on (under $2). This is a moving dynamic market so as the odds change for the actual race the odds will change for the H2H outcome. Also, you can pick your own H2H outcome, then simply go to our Live Chat or WhatsApp Tim Cleary (0433-339347) and he will price it up for you….

VKEEPING

I often have Clients ask me about having a Multi Bet wager. On the VICBET website it is really easy, simply click on the two outcomes you would like, either TF, BT or Fixed (excluding BOB) and in the bet slip the option will appear for a Multi wager. This can also be done for the Win, Each Way and the Place. This can go be over any two meetings over any number of days, it doesn’t have to be the same day. On the VICBET website the Max is two but if you contact us we can do more for you.

VFACTS

The Group One Blue Diamond was first run in 1971 so this makes it the 50th running of the Famous race this upcoming Saturday. In 1971 it was won by the 5/4 ($2.25) Favourite Tolerance by a short half head and was trained by the Legendary trainer of 2 yo’s Angus Armanasco. I checked some old newspaper articles from The Age in 1971 and found Tolerance was backed in from 2/1 ($3) to 5/4 ($2.25) and the early Favourite Lemon Twist blew out from 7/4 ($2.80) all the way out to 3/1 ($4). Lemon Twist ran accordingly and was 13th in a field of 16. History does not change, you need to follow the money particularly in two year old races. The race has always been run over 1,200 metres and Trainer David Hayes has the most wins with six and Dwayne Dunn has the most wins with four for a Jockey (2005-2008). Notable winners include Manikato (1978), Rancher (1982), Bounding Away (1986), Midnight Fever (1987), Zeditave (1988), Redoute’s Choice (1999), Bel Esprit (2002), Alinghi (2004), Star Witness (2010), Sepoy (2011), Miracles Of Life (2013), Extreme Choice (2016), Catchy (2017), Written By (2018), Lyre (2019) and last year Tagaloa (2020)….

VREFER

Many people think we are one of those Corporate outfits but that is not the case. With an emphasis on Horse Racing solely we are the Old Fashioned type of Bookmakers (four generations going back to 1941) concentrating purely on Horse Racing, no Sports, Harness or Greyhounds . My Late Father Allen Cleary was a Bookmaker from 1956 – 2006, his Uncle Bob was a Bookmaker from 1941 – 1961. Today it is myself Rod and my Son Tim sharing the reins. We are NOT Corporates, we work occasionally On Course at the Melbourne Metro Meetings on the Rails, however the vast majority of our turnover is Online. Once again your referrals are always very much appreciated and one of the main sources of us sourcing new Clients so thanks very much in advance…….
