Ho Chow was feeling a little under the weather so he called his boss, “Hey, I no come work today, I really sick. Got headache, stomach ache and legs hurt, I no come work!” The boss says, “You know something Ho Chow, I really need you today. When I feel sick like you do, I go to my wife and ask her to make love. The Group 3 Sunshine Coast Guineas is now known as the Group 3 Winx Guineas. Here is something I am sure not many of you can say, but myself and my 24 yo Son Tim were at the Sunshine Coast Races in May 2015 when Winx blitzed the capacity field of 18. She came from last and won the Sunshine Coast Guineas by nearly two lengths. She was backed from $3 (2/1) into $2.60 (13/8) and this was the first win in the consecutive run of 33 wins amassing more than $26.4 million. She raced 42 times for 36 wins, the last 33 starts were all wins including 25 Group 1’s. Her average prize money per race was $615,144 and she won from 1,100 metres to 2,200 metres. Many people think we are one of those Corporate outfits but that is not the case. With an emphasis on Horse Racing solely we are the Old Fashioned type of Bookmakers (four generations going back to 1941) concentrating purely on Horse Racing, no Sports, Harness or Greyhounds .
