VJoke
A mechanic was removing a cylinder head from the motor of a Harley motorcycle when he spotted a well-known heart surgeon in his shop. The surgeon was there waiting for the Service Manager to come and take a look at his bike. The mechanic shouted across the garage, “Hey, Doc, can I ask you a question?” The surgeon was a bit surprised and walked over to the mechanic working on the motorcycle. The mechanic straightened up, wiped his hands on a rag and asked, “So Doc, look at this engine. I open its heart, take valves out, fix ’em, put ’em back in, and when I finish, it works just like new. So how come I get such a small salary and you get the really big bucks, when you and I are doing basically the same work?” The surgeon paused, smiled, leaned over and whispered to the mechanic……..
“I’m doing it with the engine running.”
VMeetings
Day One of the Championships was a tricky affair with the heavy track and leaders bias making barrier one very hard to beat with the first four winners in a row all drawing barrier one. Despite all of this, the champion sprinter Chautauqua produced arguably the biggest finish seen at Randwick in decades as he gobbled up English in the last couple strides against the massive bias to claim a remarkable victory. This week we again have action far and wide, kicking off with all the Friday venues including Donald in Victoria and the Orange Cup in NSW. Saturday we have all the action from day two of the Championships highlighted by Winx looking to make it 17 straight in the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes, we are currently offering $1.11…… We also have the best gallopers in Hong Kong racing in Group Races on Sunday at Sha Tin in conjunction with the Terang Cup from Victoria and Pinjarra Cup from Western Australia.

Even before the AJC made the Queen Elizabeth Stakes a $4 Million Race , the champions that have won the Group One Race have included Rough Habit ,Veandercross, Durbridge, Might and Power, Lonhro and Grand Armee back to back… (2004/ 2005). Champions are a little more scarce in the Sydney Cup honour roll however with Makybe Diva in 2004 and Tie the Knot (1998/99) being clearly the best winners of the last two decades…
