Four friends, who hadn’t seen each other in 30 years reunited at a party. After several drinks, one of the men had to use the bathroom. The other three who remained began to speak about their kids. He’s so rich that he gave his best friend a brand new jet worth $4m for his birthday.” The third guy said, “Well, that’s terrific! My son studied in the best Universities and became an engineer. Then he started his own construction company and is now a Multi-Millionaire. He also gave away something very nice and expensive to his best friend for his birthday – A 2,000 square metre mansion worth $8m….” The three friends congratulated each other just as the fourth returned from the bathroom and asked, “What are all the congratulations for?” One of the three said, “We were talking about the pride we feel for the successes of our sons. What about your son?” The fourth man replied, “My son is gay and makes a living dancing as a stripper at a nightclub.” The three friends said, “Oh what a shame! That’s a disappointment.” The fourth man replied, “No I’m not ashamed, he’s my son and I love him! And he hasn’t done too bad either. His birthday was two weeks ago and he received a beautiful 2,000 square metre mansion, a brand new jet and a top of the line Mercedes from his three boyfriends!”

The Group One Goodwood was first run in 1881 and was granted Group One status in 1980. It was previously a Handicap event hence the renaming from the Goodwood Handicap to The Goodwood. The race is the richest sprint race in autumn in Adelaide. The race generally has capacity fields and this upcoming Saturday twenty runners are expected to compete. In the past few decades two of the all time great sprinters to run and win include Takeover Target (2009) and Black Caviar (2012) and then win overseas. Two horses have won the race twice with Mostyn (1894–95) and Musket Belle (1911–12). Famous South Australian jockey John Letts holds the record with five wins in the event in 1961, 1972, 1973, 1977 and 1984….
