VJOKE

Bill, a 52 year old Farmer owns a small farm near Bendigo in Country Victoria. One day the WorkSafe inspectors received a tip he wasn’t paying the proper wages to his employees, so they sent out an investigator to find out what was going on. Please tell me how many employees you have and how much you pay them the investigator asked. My farm hand has been with me three years & I pay him $1,400 per week plus he gets two free meals a day and free room and board. The cook has been here two years and I pay him $1,300 per week plus also free room and board. Now there is also this half-wit, he works 18 hours a day with zero days off doing over 90% of the work around here. He makes $25 per week and pays for his own room and board. I buy him a bottle of bourbon on Saturday nights, a few glasses of red wine during the week if he is lucky and he also sleeps with my wife occasionally.
The investigator said “Uha Uha! that’s exactly the guy I want to talk to.
” You already are” replied Farmer Bill.

VH2H – Head to Head Betting

VICBET H2H Betting is available every race in two groups of three. It is the three Favs (1st, 2nd and 3rd) combined in one H2H outcome and the second H2H is the 4th, 5th and 6th Favs combined, excluding the Fav if it is Odds-on (under $2). This is a moving dynamic market so as the odds change for the actual race the odds will change for the H2H outcome. Also, you can pick your own H2H outcome, then simply text Tim Cleary (0433-339347) and he will put online for you, this can be in a group of two or three……This a novelty bet type so it is for the small players……

VMEETINGS

All the upcoming races are Online Now with early Pre-Post Odds for Saturday’s Metro Races available right now……Before we roll into the weekend there is the Lismore Cup today. I worked there back in the mid 90’s for four years from 1995 to 1998, it was always an awesome day of fun for all. Friday has the three Group 3 races at Newcastle, highlighted by the Newcastle Gold Cup and the Cameron Handicap. Then the two big Group Ones on Saturday, the Group One Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes at Caulfield and the Group One George Main Stakes at Randwick, first run in 1945. Sorry but I can’t call it the Group One Colgate Optic White Stakes, I love the tradition of Racing and where these famous races evolved from over time, who has won them in the past and when they were first run……

A reminder to everyone if you are on the Main Site then up the top of the each Race Page there is an option to do a “Sort Order” in either Number Order, Alphabetical or Dividend order. A few Clients have said how good it is to have the field displayed in Odds order. Also hovering your mouse over the Horse Name will give you the Jockey, weight and the barrier……

VFEATURE RACING

It is that time of year coming into the Spring with all the stars resuming, there are 30 Feature Races available now, we will match what price any of our Competitor’s are betting (except Bet365)……If there are any Feature Races not online that you are interested in let us know and we will get them online for you, they can be Australia or Overseas….This week the VSpecial is in the The Moir Stakes. Nature Strip is looking like the horse to beat at the $2.50 mark. This week anyone can simply reply (by Sunday PM) to the VNEWS and you can have $3 up to a stake of $1k stake…You may be looking at $1.90 next week when the race arrives……

VPROMOTIONS

VICBET BEST TOTE PLACE – Any Clients that are Place Punters then you might like this one again, it was very popular earlier this month. We offer Middle Tote (MT) for the Place like everyone else on all venues, however once a day after you have your Middle Tote Place wager we will upgrade the wager from Middle Tote to Best Tote the Place. The limit is $250 for the wager, once a day and all you need to do is have the Middle Tote Wager like normal then Text my 22 yo Tim Cleary on 0433-339347 and Tim will amend the wager for you. Confirming you will need to nominate the one wager (on Australian Racing) and at least 30 mins before the race. This will now be available until the end of September……

The Group 1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes, was originally known as the Invitation Stakes (1951-1974) and is run over a distance of 1,400 metres at Caulfield. Jovial Lad was the first horse to win the race back in 1951. The most wins in the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes have come from barrier 5, whereas barriers 3, 6, 7, 10, 12, 13 and 18 has seen the lowest number of wins, with only one. Some notable winners include Samson (1963), Manikato (1979), St. Jude (1991), Testa Rossa (1999 & 2000) and Exceed and Excel (2003)…..Sir Rupert Clarke was on the Victoria Amateur Turf Club (VATC) which is now the Melbourne Racing Club (MRC) for 40 years, nearly half that time as the chairman, the race in now named in his honour….
