VJOKE

This is a story about a monastery in Europe perched very high on a cliff several hundred feet in the air. The only way to reach the monastery was to be suspended in a basket which was pulled to the top by several monks who pulled and tugged with all their strength. Obviously, the ride up the steep cliff in that basket was terrifying. One tourist got exceedingly nervous about half-way up as he noticed that the rope by which he was suspended was extremely old and very frayed. With a trembling voice he asked the monk who was riding with him in the basket how often they changed the rope. The monk thought for a moment and answered softly, “Whenever it breaks.”

VICBET H2H Betting is available every race in two groups of three. It is the three Favourites (1st, 2nd and 3rd) combined in one H2H outcome and the second H2H is the 4th, 5th and 6th Favourites combined, excluding the Fav if it is Odds-on (under $2). This is a moving dynamic market so as the odds change for the actual race the odds will change for the H2H outcome. The Group 2 Australia Stakes was known formerly as the Stanley Wootton Stakes and is named after the Famous Racehorse Breeder, Owner and Trainer. He was from a famous Racing family and was born in 1895 and died in 1986. He was Dick Wootton’s youngest Son and became one of the wealthiest and most powerful figures of the Australian and English Turf in the 20th century. He sent the wonder sire Star Kingdom to Australia in 1951, a move that was to make the most significant impact on the Australian local breeding bloodlines since racing began in the Colony Days. His legendary son Todman resulted from Star Kingdom’s first mating with a mare Stanley also imported, named Oceana. Stanley adopted the peculiar practise of naming his English horses after Australian place names and his Australian horses after English place names……
