VJOKE

A blind man enters a bar and find his way to a barstool. After ordering a drink and sitting there for a while, the blind guy yells to the bartender, “Hey, you wanna hear a blonde joke?” The bar immediately becomes absolutely quiet. In a husky, deep voice, the woman next to him says, “Before you tell that joke, you should know something. The bartender is blonde, the bouncer is blonde and I’m a 6′ tall, 100 kg blonde with a black belt in karate. What’s more, the fella sitting next to me is blonde and he’s a weightlifter. The woman to your right is a blonde and she’s a Pro wrestler. Think about it seriously Mister. You still wanna tell that blonde joke?” The blind guy says, “Nah, not if I’m gonna have to explain it five times.”

T/o X 2 and applies to turnover on the Saturday Metro Races only and excluding Odds-on chances, based on the SP price (Max Bonus is $500)………Note: about half a dozen people last week withdrew on Thursday or Friday and then deposited again the same day to get the Bonus, this was against the “Spirit” of getting the Bonus, hence it will have to be calculated on the Net movement in the account on Friday……..

VFACTS

The VRC Derby was first run in 1855 when Rose of May scored an impressive victory, amazingly six years before the Melbourne Cup was first run and won by Archer. It has basically always been 2,500 metres (one year in 1972 it was 2,400 metres) and has been Group 1 since 1979. Over the journey of the great race there has been a few change of race dates so this enabled Fireworks to win the VRC Derby twice, once in November 1867 and New Years Day in 1868. If anyone is unsure the “Flower of the day” is the blue cornflower. The Greatest winner of the VRC Derby was Phar Lap in 1929……Bobby Lewis has the most wins by a jockey with 8 between 1900 – 1927. James Scobie has the most wins by a Trainer with 8 also between 1900 and 1937……
